DESCRIPTION
Death in the pre-Hispanic world was seen as a reality in which people lived; in their mind there was no break between the life-death extremes. The societies of that time integrated death into their cosmogonic cycle as one more circumstance of becoming: when they die, they are reborn; this was the basic idea and from it the conception of permanence and duality emerged.
